hey guys mikhail here for another device
deal video today we're going to be
looking at the yearling phone series
today so for those who don't know year
link is the number one market share
company in the world when it comes to
the business ip phones as you can see
we've got a small selection in front of
me but we're going to look at a fair few
others today
so with year link as i mentioned they're
already the number one market share in
the planet they also have been around
for 20 years so got a heap of experience
and have even sold more than 15 million
units worldwide so you really know that
these guys are kind of know what they're
talking about and they are by far our
top seller when it comes to the business
rp phone space so today we're going to
look at a couple of the key series and
you know why you would select them or
what makes you go towards them and some
of the differences between the few to
help you on that journey you know either
implementing a new phone system or
changing as well so let's go into the
next section
[Music]
so to start off with we're going to
start with the entry-level models which
is the t3x series or the t3s and they've
got a couple different models under
there they've got t31 t33
etc so the t31 space it's a fantastic
option for those that are just trying to
get into the space maybe you've got a
bit of a low budget uh trying to you
know maybe get a large number of phones
uh at a budget price just because it is
definitely the entry level that uh will
come at probably the cheapest cost to
you but it does have a lot of handy
features they've all got poe capability
so if you've got network switches in the
business that can really help clean up
the clutter because you're not going to
have multiple cables for you know power
and internet you can get it all through
the single cable now one thing i do want
to mention though is that if you do not
have a poe switch in the business you
will need to buy a power adapter as the
power adapters are not included in the
phone purchase just as an fyi so as i
mentioned it's really suitable for
people in the entry level market or even
those just trying to you know set up for
people that don't have really high tech
expectations so you know maybe some
warehouse workers or just kind of people
that aren't too concerned or aren't on
the phone that often you may be just
needed for like calling throughout the
office
you know like a small business or a sole
trader or someone that's not expected to
juggle a lot of calls or lines at once
because i'll just go into that in a
second but yeah these phones do not
support a large number of lines going
it's also recommended for kind of
frontline staff who maybe just need a
reliable wired phone because this is
something simple basic and reliable
if we're going to look at some of these
specifications
so as i mentioned it's kind of entry
level they only have somewhere between
one to four lines depending on the model
you're looking at so if you're someone
that needs to use a lot of lines or you
kind of juggle quite a large number of
calls at once this this model or series
may not be quite suitable for you um but
yeah for those people that don't have
the high requirements it's a great
option it comes in both monochrome and
colored screen selections although the
screen is small it does make it kind of
look a little bit more pretty
you do have gigabit ethernet in all the
phone models as well as five-way local
call conferencing options as well and to
top it all off not only do you have it
as a great entry-level phone but it also
has the ability to connect to a
wireless headset you will require an ehs
adapter to do so
but at least you get that option to go
with a wireless headset if you choose so
now i'm going to talk about the t4x
series this includes three models such
as the t43u t46u and t48u this series is
looking more towards an enterprise
graded solution
which is kind of suitable for a whole
lot of different endpoints and through
different grades levels of the business
combining hd audio with an elegant
profile accessible color display
multiple line features and gigabit
ethernet connectivity the t4x series is
the perfect choice for administrative
staff knowledge workers managers and
executives
so one of the cool features of these is
definitely the improvement on the screen
compared to the t3 series so they really
like to enhance and make it nice and
elegant as yearling like to call it
i can tell you from personal experience
i use the t46 myself and i'm a huge fan
not only just of like the look and
aesthetic and the nice color on it but
it's actually really easy to use um with
no previous background in using these
type of phones i definitely found it
very easy to to kind of pick it up
straight away so you know in a modern
work environment when you want things to
be up to date look aesthetic and be easy
to kind of learn how to use because
everything's moving so fast these days i
really think this is a very suitable
option for the modern working
environment
so these phones also have advanced audio
technologies which allow for noise-free
conversations so
one of these include a technology that
provides industry-leading acoustic
clarity and kind of promises a lifelike
feel in a conversation again i can tell
you this from personal experience
it's got a great audio sound and while
like not obviously noise cancelling it
definitely tries to eliminate as much of
the outside noise as possible
to give it as much of a like-like
conversation as possible
so another thing just to add on to the i
guess simplicity of using this product
configuration is also effortless so
these phones they've got order
provisioning template which can save a
lot of time in getting these phones set
up of course you just need to check with
your provider that everything's set up
to to begin with but if you've got the
auto provisioning stuff kind of ready to
go these phones can be extremely easy to
get going
so with these phones they come between
12 and 16 lines so the 43u would be 12
lines and the 46 and 48 is 16 lines of
the phone so much more suitable for
maybe like a reception staff or someone
that's expected to kind of make more
calls or juggle more calls or transfer
them through around the business because
you've also got a good number of
buttons on the phone to be able to do
that
when it comes to the core conferencing
you can either do five-way conferencing
or 10-way conferencing of the higher
models as well which is really handy so
again really emphasizing the purpose of
that role of someone that's going to be
talking to either a lot of people at
once or just that's going to be the the
middleman to transfer all those calls as
well
another nifty thing with these phones is
that they've got dual usb ports so the
benefit of those is that it allows you
to have both uh you can either have like
a wired headset or they've got another
port for that as well but you can either
use a usb wired headset they've also got
a port for an rj9 kind of headset
but the main purpose is the ability to
connect to wi-fi or bluetooth so these
t4 series phones they do not have
built-in
uh wi-fi bluetooth but with the dual usb
ports you can use the year link adapters
don't or the year link ehs adapter and
the bluetooth dongle
even at the same time to allow the
phones to connect wirelessly to internet
as well as connect to any bluetooth
headset
so we're going to take a look at the
next step up now which is the flagship
t5 series
yearling phones so in response to market
demand yearling cut decided to come out
with some really high end like one of
the highest end hard portfolio series of
phones out in the market that can really
support any again it can suit anyone's
needs but it's starting to get more
towards the priority of a kind of more
higher end or workers that either carry
a super heavy load or maybe even
starting to get to the executive
side of positions as well
so one of the first cool things about
the t5 series is that it's got an
adjustable high resolution display
as well as an intuitive ui and clear
navigation
so aligning with a fully adjustable
display of a high resolution screen the
t5 series desktop phone brings vivid and
clear visual presentation under diverse
lighting conditions as well as with
flexible viewing angles
so the phone series also offers
cutting-edge audio technologies and
immersive conversations the way they do
this is with the yearlings feature
called yearling acoustic shield so this
is aimed at delivering destruction-free
voice clarity and it utilizes multiple
microphones to create a virtual shield
and intelligently block out background
noise so others can only hear you and
follow you clearly in a busy and noisy
workplaces such as call centers and
co-working spaces yearling acoustic
shield technology dramatically reduces
frustration and improves productivity
so the t5 series if you're looking at
the flagship very high-end models
including the t58 series and the vp59
these ones can even provide video
calling so really helpful for those you
know in a hybrid working environment or
those that just really want to try and
get everything i guess all condensed
into one rather than have lots of
different cables and different computers
and laptops all over the show you can
now do it all through your phone as well
so they have some models where it
includes the camera or something that
can be purchased separately but it's
really just adding on to that flagship
model style that can give you both
really high high quality hd
video as well as just that portability
of being able to take the phone home and
get those video calls um you know on the
go
so you'll notice if you look at the t5
series phones you'll find that all of
them except for the t53 and t54
will have w variations of the phones so
they'll all be something with a w at the
end except the 53 and 54 both have
without the w and with the w now all
that means is all the phones that have
the w on it means that it has built-in
bluetooth and wi-fi so as i mentioned
with the t4 series before if you wanted
to get those features with that phone
you need to get the
suitable dongles or adapters with these
phones except for the 53 and 54 without
the w then you can actually have it all
built in so it gives you that freedom to
still have those dual port
usb so you can use you know for usb you
can put a usb stick in these so that you
can have um like recordings done
straight to those and just give you more
flexibility on what things you can
connect it to
so you know if you're in an environment
where you don't have kind of um ethernet
switches or cables going to you that's
where the wi-fi will be very handy
when we look towards the very high-end
ones of these phones particularly the
vp59 or in this case in front of me here
the t58 pro
not only does it have a android system
on it so if you've got the android kind
of operating system you can put in
additional apps it just gives you again
a lot more flexibility productivity
with what you want to use and you can
use a whole lot of different apps you
know from the google play store to
really kind of
advance that experience using the phone
and another cool feature i really like
with this one is if you don't want to
use a wireless headset you can actually
get this pro version where the actual
handset itself
is bluetooth so this does not require
any cable i can walk around with this in
the office don't need a headset
again it's just a really cool feature i
like um as an alternative to someone
that maybe doesn't like to maybe mess up
their hair
so now we're going to go over the deck
solution which i've got directly in
front of me here so this is obviously
your cordless solutions so these ones
will be suitable for guys in some smb
environments but a lot of you know
warehouse workers retail workers
restaurants those kind of people where
basically you don't sit at a desk too
much and you're constantly on the move
so as you can imagine you know you can
take this to check stock call through
checking for a customer etc this is
definitely the phone for you
so the cordless deck solution phones are
really ergonomic in their design and
they're reliable and obviously portable
so really kind of suitable for modern
working spaces they're super compact
really lightweight easy to carry you can
get
holsters as well so you can even clip
them onto your belt
it just gives you a lot of solutions
with a kind of more metallic appearance
a modern business style and you can get
a classic hard keypad and again nice
intuitive uh user interface
so ulinks dect phone system supports
efficient provisioning and effortless
mass deployment just like the phones
mentioned previously so super easy to
set up and really nice and efficient
you've also got superb hd audio
to really kind of concentrate on the
clear and focus of communication so just
like the other phones as well you've got
that really really high quality audio
even in complicated environments
especially with these phones because you
might have them in rugged areas
it can also block out and block out kind
of a bit of background noise and keep
conversations clear so with this
cordless uh solution you do have some
different options uh there's not as many
phones to choose from all together but i
guess the way i'll break it down into
mainly is whether you are in a kind of
just a normal office space environment
or maybe a bit more rugged you know
somewhere in a warehouse where a phone
might get dropped a lot or bumped and
bumped around so they've got uh the w56h
which we've got in front of me here but
then they've also got models like the
w59r which is a little bit smaller but
it's a lot more robust
and kind of made to be rugged and can i
wouldn't be throwing it across the
warehouse or anything but you'll be able
to drop it and it'll be able to survive
the the crashes and you'll still get
that solid audio
on the back of it so with the deck
solution obviously you're going to have
probably on more than one occasion a
larger number of phones so with the
basic units you've got in front like
i've got in front of me here uh you'll
be able to support 10
handsets that you can connect to the
space but i know for a lot of people
that may not be enough so don't worry
you can get things like either repeaters
to extend the range or um other kind of
uh mates or head units i guess they
would call it uh like the w80 series or
wbm 80 which then can support anywhere
from you know 20 handsets and you can do
another a number of other options
including like the the 90b stuff so you
can basically get as little as 10
handsets connected to a base but you can
even get as much as 2500 if you get the
right combination of products to mix
together
all right guys so there you have it i
